Formerly known as Kaijo Sonic KCS-5221Z. SCS-22 is the latest low-frequency version from Sonic that came on the market in 2017, and has had several software updates with improvements since then. Ideal sonar for herring, blue whiting, capelin, sprat, horse mackerel and mackerel.

Technical information
The filtration technology in SCS-22 ensures accurate drawing of fish echoes, less noise, better separation and increased range. 20kHz - 24kHz transmitter frequency gives a very good range, also on mackerel. In addition to the patented transmitter control in RDT (Rotational Directional Transmission) mode which provides an increased range of up to 20%. RDT mode transmits with 6dB higher output power and the pulse length is also 50% longer in RDT than in mono. High-precision incliometer provides accurate pitch and roll stabilization data, 20 times faster than other models! Two independent images on both horizontal and vertical views, with separate adjustments of range, tilt / direction and gain. SCS-22 can target 3 different shoals of fish at the same time. The sonar has 30 different marks that can also be used for manual plotting of courses and speed of fishing shoals.
By the integration of KDG-300 (Doppler Current Graph) one can measure the exact course and speed of shoals of fish, regardless of current direction and depth.

Equipment
The equipment supplied with SCS-22 is well built and very robust. The transducer dome is oil-filled and made of stainless steel to protect the 768 elements, in the event of damage to the domecasing, this can be easily replaced. The bottom equipment is solidly constructed,  with a guide ring that supports the shaft against the sonar trunk in the hull. This prevents, in most cases, a bent shaft if you get a wire or rope around the shaft or transducer. Replaceable parts ensure lower maintenance costs and shorter repair time. The SCS-22 comes with a compact and user-friendly controller with integrated roller ball.

The controller has quick buttons for favorite setups. The SCS-22 can also connect  USB devices, such as the Logitech Wireless Roller Ball.

Upgrade
If you have an older version of Kaijo sonar; KCS-3220 and KCS-3221 can be easily upgraded to SCS-22.
